How to add Statcounter to a Wix site

Here's a step-by-step tutorial, with a video, on how to add stat counter to you Wix website. This blog will teach you how to set up an account on Statcounter as well as manage it and add it to your site.

Sign up for a free trial

When you first get to statcounter, signup for a free trial or, if you already have an account, go to this site: https://statcounter.com/support/faq/238-how-do-i-install-statcounter-using-wix/

This allows you to access the html code once you have signed up or signed in.

Then head to Statcounter

The first thing you will see when you head to the site:

• A list of ways to add statcounter

• Search Support

• The bold word: Statcounter

Click on the bold word and it will take you to a page called 'Sign Up':

1. Put in all of your information: Name and Gmail

2. Create a username: I used my site name, Photography, then added some numbers

3. Create a password: Make it simple and easy to remember

4. Create account: Click the box at the bottom of the page

5. Insert code: You'll then come to a page that says 'Insert code'

6. Copy code: Click the button in the middle of the page that says 'Copy to Clipboard'

7. Edit your site: Go back to your edit page for you site and click 'Add' button

8. Add HTML: Click 'add HTML' and drag to your desired spot

9. Enter code: On the top of the insert there is a button that says 'Enter Code'

10. Add code: Under the words 'Add Code' click 'Ctrl V' on your computer to paste

11. Hold and click: Grab your insert and move it once more to make in invisible to your viewers

12. Publish: Go to the top left corner of your page and click 'Publish' and you're done!
